Range: $52,000 – $70,000
Job Summary: Responsible for the implementation of programmatic elements within the specialized group center home and direct supervision of house staff.

- Ensure that adequate records are maintained about income and expenses, the provision of clothing, allowances, dental and medical services and medicine.
- All records will be completed on a monthly basis, and submitted to the Director of Operations for review and placed in each child’s folder by the fifth business day of the following month.
- Ensure programs are being implemented and offer suggestions for modifications for each youth in care.
- Participates in the interview process with parents/guardians and maintains an ongoing relationship with parents/guardians.
- Provides the organization’s bookkeeper routine reports on payroll, expenses, deposit and any other financial expenses required.
- Provide on-site supervision of other direct care staff and perform administrative duties.
- Ensure adequate staff is scheduled for all shifts during the 24 hour day, seven day per week, and make sure the facility is providing or arranging appropriate coverage for absent staff.
- Direct supervision of children when scheduled.
- Have a thorough working knowledge of all program policies and procedures.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Explains to parents, students and interns’ organization programs and processes i.e.:(intake process/meetings)
- Constant involvement with graduation and family participation, and the mentorship programs.
- Work hours will be 40 per week or as needed, and may include a variety of day, evening and periodic overnight shifts.
- Complete all required training courses.
- Must have experience in working with at-risk youth in a care facility.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor or leadership.
Experience/Education/Qualifications:
- Must hold a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
- Must not be less than 21 years of age, and have completed two years of college or one year’s experience in the human services field – Preferred
- CPR/First Aide Certified
- Valid state driver’s license
- Must have knowledge of proper food handling if participating in food preparation
- Must complete “core” training or its equivalent and fulfill training requirements delineated by the Sarah’s Home Corp training policy
- Must submit three letters of reference from non-relatives who have known candidate for more than a year, describing character and ability to provide care for children.

- Thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policies involved in organizational effectiveness and finance.
- Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and dependable.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work prolonged periods sitting at a desk, standing and walking around the facility and/or grounds.
- Ability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 40 lbs.
- Must have the ability to travel for meetings with service teams and appointments as required

State Regulations for Primary Caregivers
- Group Center personnel’s own children shall not have been placed in foster care or a residential treatment facility under circumstances tending to show that the parent is unable or unwilling to care for his/her own children unless the placement was primarily for such reasons as the physical illness of the parent, physical or mental disability of the child or the relinquishment of an infant child for adoption.
- Group Center personnel shall be able to demonstrate through satisfactory past experience and references the ability to provide for the proper physical, mental and character development of children in care.
- The group home or group center personnel shall demonstrate stability in family or marital relationships, where applicable, within the home where the care is to be provided.
- Group center personnel shall hold a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Group center personnel shall not be less than 21 years of age, shall be appropriate for the age of children in care and shall possess the adequate physical stamina to care for children. An individual such as the son or daughter of the group center personnel, who is well acquainted with the children in care and is between the ages of 18 and 21 years old may be a childcare personnel and assist in the care of the children with the approval of the agency.
- Children of group center personnel and any other persons not placed by the agency and living in the group center shall obtain a physical examination annually or as required in writing by an approved health care professional.
- Group center personnel shall include at least one primary caregiver who is a full-time employee of the facility, provides some direct care for children, supervises other childcare personnel and holds major responsibility for child care.
- Group center personnel shall have had verifiable working experience with children of the age to be cared for in the group facility. Such experience shall be from one or more of the following:
- One year of experience as a foster home parent.
- Two thousand hours work experience with children of the age to be cared for in the group facility.
- One year of experience as a childcare worker in a residential facility for children; and,
- Group center personnel who have not previously received 12 hours of ‘core’ training shall receive 12 hours of training within the first twelve (12) months following the submission of the applications.
- Other care personnel in the group center or home shall be supervised be a primary caregiver.
- The Group center personnel who are the primary caregivers shall be evaluated by a board-eligible psychiatrist, a certified psychologist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and shall obtain a statement from the evaluator which evaluated the persons.
